La Caravelle Гваделупа - Французька Вест-Індія

This was our 4th time at this Club. It's a nice location, 40min. from the airport. Very European atmosphere, mostly French. But English is spoken widely. The weather was great. LOVED the food and gained a couple of pounds. Very pleasant . The entry into the ocean has lots of little rocks that hurt the feet. Everything is in Euros. Stuff is friendly. Shows are OK. Circus team was great. Relaxing vacation. The chef du village was very present and hands on and listened to suggestions.

Great food, sports, yoga & guests made our week in the sun very healthy. Mostly European and Quebecois guests. Lots of activities like tennis, sailing, trapeze. Did i mention the food? Special thanks to Clara for making our stay particularly enjoyable!

Nice stay at La Caravelle, our holiday started before the French school holidays meaning we had a few days to enjoy the beach and the sport facilities in « low season mode ». Special gratitude to Captain Fif and his fantastic pilates&stretching sessions facing the sea at sunset.
Our rooms were in Marie-Galante, functional but a bit tired, that s why I put 4 stars and not 5, given the price we paid I would have expected nicer accommodation.
The food was excellent, the buffets varied, special mention for the Allamanda and the amazing team (Justine prepares the best planteurs….). The waitresses in the main restaurant were adorable.

Best part of our stay was the day trip to Basse-Terre with Tarzan (La Roma boat), it was an incredible day, our family Christmas present, and we swam with turtles, babysharks, rays, etc.

The club amenities are fantastic, we went at the beginning of the season and were lucky to be in a relatively uncrowded club. The period was the Q4 2024 electricity blackout outside the club and the management of it was perfect ! we almost did not noticed ! Grand Bravo au chef du village pour la gestion de crise. The sailing team is perfect ! they care about the client and are really super : great explanations, and very good security and availability management (so different than the Punta Cana one !! where we almost decided never ever returning to a club med). Excursions are great (as usual in the Club Meds); the boutique selection a disaster (bad taste and quality); the food is good and the team is very nice in general and amazing on the a la carte (free) restaurant.

We had a wonderful vacation over the December holidays at La Caravelle. The village is gorgeous and there were so many things to do, from tried and true like tennis, yoga, aqua gym, and circus to really new things like paddle yoga! The special shows, meals, and overall ambiance for the Christmas holiday were lovely.

Many thanks to the fantastic GO and GE staff who made our holiday special, including Anthony with whom we shared many memorable and enjoyable meals, Mathis, Lucie & Lenny who created such a great atmosphere for the teen group, Lea & Kevin at tennis (really pro instruction super well managed!), restaurant GE Lornia who was so attentive, and Clara for her wonderful yoga classes!
