Overall, it was a lovely week. I would like to mention, in particular, one staff member who really went out of his way to make me feel comfortable: Hugo, the yoga/pilates/stretch instructor. I went to his classes every day, was always the oldest person there and l don’t speak French. He made sure that l understood the instructions and presented the classes in a delightful manner. Everyone left smiling, every time. Thank you Hugo.

My family and I stayed at Club Med Grand Massif Samoëns for one week over Christmas, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and smiles. The check-in process was incredibly smooth and efficient - we were able to simply sit down while everything was taken care of for us, with all information clearly explained. Throughout our stay, every member of staff was friendly, kind, polite, and always looking for ways to help. The atmosphere was welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. The hotel itself was very clean, comfortable, and fairly modern, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

My brother and I participated in ski lessons every day, and we were lucky enough to have Véronique as our instructor. She was absolutely fantastic - funny, engaging, patient, and a brilliant teacher. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we felt confident and comfortable on the slopes. We couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!

The food throughout the week was excellent, with a great variety and something for everyone. Meals were readily available, high quality, and consistently delicious. The Christmas Eve dinner was particularly enjoyable and felt special, and the Christmas Eve fireworks were a lovely touch that really added to the festive atmosphere. On Christmas Day, the entertainment was great as well - activities such as bingo brought so many guests together and it was really nice to see such strong participation and a fun, communal spirit.

The daily programme was packed, and we were never bored, there was always something to do at any time of day.

I would like to give a very special mention to Bruno from reception and guest relations. We met him within our first hour at the resort, and from that moment on he was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. During the first few days, our mum was unwell and unable to leave the room, and Bruno truly went above and beyond to help us - including arranging for us to bring food back to her smoothly and without any issues. He regularly checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. We also spent time eating with him and another family, and he genuinely made our stay more memorable with his warmth and kindness. My brother and I are French but have lived in England most of our lives, so we switch between English and French when speaking and it was wonderful to be able to speak in either language with Bruno as he is fluent in both.

Special mentions also go to Elowan and Tudour, who were GOs - both were extremely friendly, polite, and easy to get along with. The village chef, Francis, was also fantastic and always made sure we were having a good time and enjoying our stay.

The Ski Pro Shop staff were very helpful, particularly Adrien, who made the process of getting our ski equipment on the first day very smooth and stress-free. Like all the other staff, they were kind, professional, and welcoming.

Although we didn’t travel with children, the kids’ entertainment looked amazing. There was always something organised for them, from bouncy castles to parties and activities so perfect place to go if you have young children.

The evenings were always great fun, starting with socialising, followed by shows put on daily by the entertainment team, and ending with a DJ and dancing which we LOVED. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable without feeling overwhelming.

If I had to mention a few small improvements, it would be great if the rooms included slippers and robes, if the indoor pool was slightly warmer, and if there were a room service option available. That said, these are very minor points.

Overall, we had an amazing stay and would absolutely return to Club Med Grand Massif Samoëns. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our Christmas holiday so special!

We spent Christmas week at Club Med Grand Massif Samoëns Morillon, and overall it was a very enjoyable stay.

The resort itself is modern, clean, and well designed, with a festive atmosphere and plenty of fun events throughout the week. The all-inclusive dining offered many options, making it easy for everyone to find something they liked. The fish dishes were excellent, and the tarts were particularly good. Desserts overall were fine, though not exceptional, and there was less variety of bread compared to other Club Med resorts we’ve visited.

The G.O. team and the kids’ club staff were truly wonderful—kind, attentive, and great with children.

The ski instruction through ESF was a highlight. My son had Mathias as his instructor for his 2nd star, and he absolutely loved the experience. Mathias was excellent—patient, encouraging, and very effective. My son learned a lot and had a fantastic time.

I personally did snowshoeing with Hervé, and he was outstanding. Not only was he fun and engaging, but he also shared so much knowledge about the forest, mountains, and nature. He even taught us basic snow survival skills, which made the hikes both educational and memorable. The pace had to suit the whole group—some found it a bit easy, others more challenging—but the daily consistency helped us truly appreciate the experience morning and afternoon.

One G.O. in particular, Tudor, really stood out. He was involved in so many aspects of the resort—lifeguard at the pool, performer in shows, part of the entertainment team, and guest relations. He spoke multiple languages and came across as smart, ambitious, caring, and genuinely attentive. My son adored him and had so much fun around him. Tudor even took time to have lunch with us, which made the experience feel very personal. He truly made our stay even better.

We would also like to mention the resort manager, Francis, who was extremely kind and attentive to every guest, always present and genuinely invested in making sure everyone felt welcome. In addition, Bruno, who was taking care of us during our stay, did an outstanding job. Their professionalism and warmth truly made our holiday memorable.

The location is convenient, especially being relatively close to Geneva, and many guests spoke very positively about the ski slopes. Unfortunately, I couldn’t ski myself this year to compare, but the feedback from other skiers at the resort was very good.

The atmosphere throughout the resort was welcoming and friendly. While some dining areas were better managed than others, the overall experience remained positive.

One major downside was the transportation organization, which was quite poor. Considering the price paid, transfers should be far better managed—unfortunately, they felt chaotic and disorganized.

All in all, we had a good experience and would consider returning, depending on next winter’s pricing. Despite a few areas for improvement, the staff, instructors, and overall atmosphere made this a memorable holiday.

Restaurants were our favorite. Special shout out to Village Chef Francis and Oguz, Pietro, Rama, Mehmet from Skyline.

All GO staff excellent from the entertaining and always welcoming Chef to the magnificent fitness instructor Hugo who demonstrated good knowledge in Pilates and yoga along with mindfulness.. grateful to him, his instructions and his stage dance performances.
Food very good with plenty of variety.
Stage shows all high quality and very enjoyable.
I recommend this Club Med resort for skiing and high quality indoor leisure facilities.
