This was our first time staying at Club Med Sahoro, having previously visited Club Med Kiroro Grand twice and Sahoro certainly lived up to our expectations!
From the very beginning, everything was seamless. Our airport transfer was smooth and well arranged, and we were especially grateful to Eugene Tarutin and Shiho Takabayashi for reaching out to us via email before our arrival. They thoughtfully shared the shuttle bus timing and even helped arrange a later shuttle so we could enjoy some shopping at the airport. We also had a few room requests, and they truly did their best to accommodate them. We sincerely appreciated this personal touch even before stepping foot in the resort.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the Welcome and Reception team. A special thank you to Tino and his Luggage Service Team for taking such great care of our bags and ensuring everything reached our room safely. After a long journey, this was such a relief. Tino, in particular, made our stay even more memorable, always greeting us with a smile and stopping for a chat. My mum and I truly enjoyed speaking with him. He is definitely one of the reasons we would return to Sahoro. Thank you, Tino!
The Main Restaurant offered a wonderful variety of international cuisine. Benz and his team were incredibly welcoming and attentive, especially during peak dining hours when it was difficult to find seats. Benz was always there to assist us, which we deeply appreciated.
The pizza was absolutely amazing, truly a highlight! We loved watching Chef Shachrist stretch the pizza dough, and my mum enjoyed chatting with him while going back for more slices. The pizza was clearly a crowd favourite, with both kids and adults lining up for it daily. Thank you, Chef Shachrist, for the fantastic pizza and pasta!
We would also like to extend our appreciation to Chef Sachin, Sergio, and Candra for the delicious meals and service throughout our stay. Every meal left our tummies filled with happiness. Thank you, Benz and the entire Restaurant Team, for taking such good care of us.
We also visited Mina Mina, the inclusive Izakaya-themed restaurant, which we booked through the My Club Med app. The karaage there was amazing! Although some menu items are available à la carte at an additional charge, we felt the inclusive selections were already excellent and more than satisfying.
Of course, the highlight of our trip was the ski-in ski-out experience and the all-inclusive snowboard lessons. On our first day, we were welcomed by light snowfall and had Taz as our instructor. After not snowboarding for a year, he helped me regain my confidence through clear, straightforward drills that improved my S-turns significantly. By the end of the first day, I truly felt like I had found my rhythm again.
Although we didn’t get Taz on Day 2, we were assigned Joe, whose teaching style was similarly structured and easy to understand. Joe introduced us to knee steering and extension turns, which helped us initiate our S-turns more naturally and confidently. Eventually, we continued requesting both Taz and Joe for the following days, we hope we didn’t bore them!
A special mention about Will being such an amazing instructor who was not only able to manage different standards in a class but managing to keep the entire class engaged with different drills that is cater to different snowboarding skills. Also, Will was innovative to assist us in learning by recording how we snowboard providing a easy feedback mechanism.
We were also impressed by how professional and safety-conscious all the instructors were. As swim coaches ourselves, we truly understand the importance of safety and proper progression, and we appreciated the attention to detail they demonstrated. We also found it extremely helpful that classes were split by levels within SB2 (for example, SB2-beginners and SB2-advanced). This ensured we could continue progressing without having to relearn basics with newly promoted students. The morning assessment runs to evaluate progress before splitting groups were very well organised and effective.
A heartfelt thank you to Taz, Joe, Will, and Rizumu for helping us snowboard more confidently and correctly.
Club Med Sahoro gave us a wonderful and memorable experience. We truly appreciate every team member who made our stay so enjoyable, and we look forward to returning again in the future!
